What is Boo? Is Boo the ball?

The show was originally created around the idea that the fantastical world was inside the BooSnoo! machine. We then started calling the ball Boo! and the other balls, Green Snoo, Blue Snoo and so on. But really, you can call them what you want! We also talk about Boo being a little bit sentience. We know when Boo is having a good time, because we are too!
Where is BooSnoo! made?

BooSnoo! is a British production. It was created by Julian Bashford, and the live action is filmed near Manchester, the animation is created across the North of England, with sound and music from two amazing teams in the London area. We are extremely proud to be part of the incredible heritage in children’s TV production in the UK, with members of our team having worked on so many classic shows including Postman Pat, Raa Raa the Noisy Lion, Twirlywoos and also many amazing films from Wes Anderson (Fantastic Mr Fox) and Tim Burton (Corpse Bride) and so many others. We also have amazing big models made by a team of amazing creative builders, and there are always experiments going on to see what will and won’t work!
Is it animated or is it live action?

It it both. We always felt that BooSnoo! should feel sensory so things like fluff and splodgy materials should be shown real, and then we can world-build in animation. As we have advanced the series, parents can have fun trying to spot what is real and what is animated, but don’t spoil the magic for the kids!
